Description
The Taxman (1998) is a crime thriller directed by Avi Nesher. The film stars Joe Pantoliano as Al Benjamin, a New York State Tax Investigator who delves into the Russian immigrant community in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn.
Al is initially on the trail of a mysterious con artist involved in a multi-million dollar gasoline tax fraud scam. However, his investigation takes a darker turn when he stumbles upon a series of bloody murders.
Despite orders to stay out of the way, Al teams up with rookie cop Joseph Romero, played by Wade Dominguez, to uncover the truth.
